It’s your body talking. It’s been a while. I was beginning to wonder if you even remember me.
I’ve been carrying you around, doing what I do best, just waiting for you to notice me.
And, by the way, I’ve been sending you signals. There’s some stuff that could use attention. I’ve noticed you’ve been swallowing your true feelings about that relationship. So now my chest is tight from holding it all in. My digestive system is protesting from the food you’re eating when stressed.
I started with a little poke now and then, but that didn’t work. You ignored them. You’ve been telling yourself, “This is just the way it is.” Or “I have to do this.” You ignored my quiet poking.
Well, I’m not going to be so quiet any more. What you’re doing is squeezing the life out of you, and it’s squeezing me too. You’re so tight that you feel like a spring waiting to be sprung. Your breathing is shallow. Your shoulders slump. Your walk is heavy.
This doesn’t have to be your life. Or mine. I want us to live and move freely. Feel the substance of who we are. Be who we were created to be. Mind and body together.
I don’t want to sit in a corner unnoticed. So listen, will ya? Notice where I’m tight…or free. Notice how beautiful and precious your breath is. Changes in sensation. Pay attention to tension and let it go. Let me help guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself. Love me the way I am. Trust my ability to balance and heal myself – as long as you don’t interfere.
Hello. It’s your body talking. Won’t you listen?

This is a timely post Kathleen. I did not listen to my body until I can’t walk well anymore, now exploring Chiropractic sessions which are helping. I am tuning into all that stress I am holding onto and I want to let it go.
Debra, I do hope the chiropractic sessions help you get connected to your body and moving again.
