I don't know about you, but the holidays were just a little bit strange this year. We two friends, Ruth and Kathleen, have celebrated Christmas Eve together since around 1985. Even when Ruth was about to give birth, or when Kathleen's husband died a few days before Christmas.
And in 2020? Over Zoom. Just like so many other families and friends. Making the best of the situation.
In January, looking ahead at a long winter and who-knows-how-long before we could get together freely, we figured we had to do something different. So…..we decided that since Christmas is so much fun with all the lights, joy, and the spirit of giving, that we'd celebrate it every month during 2021. On the 25th. And, since we're us, we'd do it with music.
In the spirit of giving, we're sharing our monthly Christmas with you. And invite you to share too.
Each month on the 25th, we'll post a music video on YouTube. The song will be appropriate for the month. And, to make it even more fun, we're adding the chorus to the song “We Need a Little Christmas” at the end. In the style of the seasonal song.
Not only that, but we're featuring a charitable organization each month. So you can share in giving all year.
The links to each month's videos and charitable organizations will be below as we add them each month. Enjoy celebrating with us on the 25th. We even have a YouTube premiere at 8:30 pm Eastern Time. So we can celebrate together apart.
See you on the 25th!!
