We've all made a decision or done something that ended up painful. Even if our actions didn't cause the pain, we've experienced it nonetheless. We often learn and grow more from these painful times than when things go well. As Charles Dickens said, “There are dark shadows on the earth, but its lights are stronger in the contrast.”
